The Job Tracker, powered by JobCop, is a low-cost, comprehensive job tracking solution specifically designed for the Construction Industry. Our unique tracker provides a powerfull detailed analysis of each job, on a single screen, allowing Supervisors, Managers and Directors to instantly access real-time data to make “pro-active“ decisions to manage costs, control cash-flow and drive profits.

The Job Tracker is powered by JobCop; an extensive suite of simple to use, low-maintenance user input screens that collect data, on a per job basis and feed into the Job Tracker in real-time. Included are input screens that track tenders and quotes, create variations, create payment applications and record/track retention. The JobCop also provides simple, mobile friendly screens that allow your labour force (employees, sub-contractors and agency) to record their timesheets, out-of-pocket and charge back expenses. Additionally, the JobCop has a comprehensive purchase order system (including call-offs) allowing you to track and manage materials and contracted out costs.

We offer flexible “low cost, subscription contracts“ with no fixed term, to help with cash-flow. In addition, User Licenses can be adjusted on a monthly basis to accommodate the construction industry's ever fluctuating labour levels, ensuring your expenses are directed where they are needed most during critical business cycles.

Access to the Job Tracker and each JobCop input screen is securely controlled by user security levels allowing you to control who has access to what and ensure critical job data is secure.

About JobCop

A Necessity not a Luxury

 

The JobCop was born out of a necessity to streamline numerous, cumbersome, spreadsheets used by an electrical services company to manage and control their business. As the business grew the number and complexity of spreadsheets grew, as did the amount of labour required to create, update, maintain and manage the spreadsheets. The larger spreadsheets were slow to open and constant share-locking made the process of allocating Job Numbers and Purchase Orders slow, labour intensive and expensive, to the point where instead of enhancing the business the spreadsheets they became detrimental to the business as a whole, and had a negative bottom-line impact on profits.

The decision to create an online system to replace the spreadsheets was a simple one, and early on in the development process, it became apparent that such a system would not just benefit one electrical services company, but would become a powerful tool, “a necessity“, for all trades in the construction industry. Therefore, the system requirements and functional definition became less focussed on a bespoke electrical services system, and more concentrated on providing an affordable, fully functional system for all small to medium sized construction industry companies.

At the outset, our mission was to convert quote/job and purchase orders spreadsheets into simple, manageable input screens. However, over time more and more spreadsheets (used by the industry) were incorporated into the system (Variations, Timesheets, Expenses, Applications, Retention, Recalls, Purchase Order Call-Offs). So, with such a rich base of data, we have been able to consolidate all information into a simple, effective screen, we call the tracker. The tracker provides visual triggers to draw your attention to key data, as well as providing you with everything you need to know about the job, in real-time, to make quicker, better, pro-active decisions.
